Computer control is usually based on PLC, PC or DCS systems. Programmed robots coordinate different tasks of the manufacturing process that have been carefully engineered, assembled and programmed by automation experts. Implementation of a factory automation infrastructure also involves design, production and on-site commissioning of control panels, control cabinets, sensors, safety components, relays etc.
